Pope Francis’ Apology

2022

On July 25, 2022, in Maskwacis, Alberta, Pope Francis acknowledged and issued a formal apology on behalf of the Catholic Church’s role in the residential school system. Operating for over a century, these institutions forcibly separated Indigenous children from their families, causing widespread abuse and trauma. Many Indigenous leaders and community members embraced the apology as a “first step to a path forward” towards justice and healing. Our team embarked on a poignant journey to create a visual narrative that explored the complexities of reconciliation and healing.

The Mercury Block, one of Autograph’s recent projects (formerly EDGAR’s Edmonton division), is a 7-storey, 163-unit mixed-use rental development in Edmonton’s Oliver neighborhood. This project aims to inspire further mixed-use developments in the West Village area.

Alberta Cancer Foundation – Mike Zurawell

2022

In November 2022, Mike Zurawell’s life changed forever when he was diagnosed with double-hit lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Despite undergoing extensive treatments, including chemotherapy and radiation, the cancer persisted. Mike was able to receive a new, innovative treatment made possible by the support of Alberta Cancer Foundation donors – called CAR T-cell therapy. This is his story about creating more moments.
